10 Perfect Dates for Spring!
Posted on 30 March 2017
1.Visit a theme park
Theme parks usually start opening during the spring (around April or May). The great thing about this date is that is boredom-proof—meaning how could you possibly get bored if you're cracking up over the face he made in that awkward roller coaster photo? Good memories!
2.Sit outdoors at your favorite restaurant
You know in the winter when you sadly glare at the tables outside that you can't sit on (unless you want to freeze your nalgas off)? Now's the time to take advantage of having brunch at your favorite spot under the sun, before summer rolls around and it's too hot!
3.Go paddle boating
Usually about $10-15 a pop, paddle boating is available at many local parks. It's a great way to take in nature, chill out with your novio, and prep those legs for Verano!
4.Go to a baseball game
After the Dominicanos snagged the title at the World Baseball Classic, we're itching to see more baseball!! Practice season is up and baseball tickets are selling out! Check Groupon or Living Social for deals—you can find tickets to baseball games sometimes for only $20! Oh yeah, and did we mention you'll get brownie points if your man is a total sports junkie
Numerous studies have shown that giving back can help with depression, because it simply makes you feel good about yourself and content to know that you are helping others. Try volunteering at an animal shelter or attending a benefit gala with your guy. It'll be a rewarding feeling and great experience for you both!
6.Go star gazing
Do you love looking at stars, but hate the cold? That’s why Spring is the perfect time to go out and star gaze with your special someone and have a blast doing it. Grab a cute blanket and head over to an open field!
7.Stroll through a botanical garden
If neither of you really have a green thumb, you can still enjoy spring’s bounty by going for a leisurely stroll arm-in-arm through a botanical garden. Especially if you live in a city where greenery is harder to find, a botanical garden is a great alternative to the park. Take in the balmy temperatures, the flowers in bloom, and be idle together. You can simply sit side-by-side on a bench and just let the time tick away.
8.Go to outdoor concerts
Springtime is the time when musicians start touring everywhere, so make a date out of it. Go out to a concert with your partner, either at a massive amphitheater or a small venue, and listen to some music over a couple drinks.
9.Visit a farmer’s market
This date may be on the cheesier side, but that doesn’t make it any less fun. Going out to local farmer’s markets with your significant other is a great way to spend time with your partner and get the most out of the spring season. Try out fresh produce or buy some homemade bread; it’ll be a fun and delicious way to spend your morning.
10.Take a hike!
Now that you can leave the house without wearing a million layers, you can hit the trails with your significant other. Taking hikes together is a great way to get outside and get moving while still spending quality time with your partner. You can always choose the easiest trail, and reward yourself with booze afterwards.
