Get Back On Track with Lyfe Tea Smoothies!
After a long weekend of overindulging, sometimes you just need a super-healthy breakfast to kick-start your week. This creamy smoothie—loaded with a delicious mix of good-for-you green ingredients including kale, avocado, pears and of course Lyfe Tea—is perfect for the job. Yes, it's super healthy, but with a touch of maple syrup and cayenne pepper you'll also get a sweet and spicy kick that makes drinking this smoothie far from a chore. Bonus: The Lyfe Tea provides a jolt of energy to make heading back to work just a little bit easier.
- 1 cup pear, chopped
- 1/3 avocado, chopped
- 8oz of steeped Lyfe Tea, Can be frozen
- 2/3 cup kale
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1. Add brewed Lyfe Tea and kale to the blender first, followed by the rest of the ingredients.
2. Blend until smooth and garnish with additional cayenne pepper.
Make this recipe and practically any smoothie recipe even easier to make by turning it into a freezer smoothie. Just pack the pear and kale in an airtight freezer bag, and bring it out when you're ready to blend. Add liquid ingredients first, then solids for an easy mix.
